About
HAIBAYO is a Community Cultural Non-Profit Organization and Cafe. We create thriving commercial ecosystems by accelerating businesses, organizations, and families that preserve culture and community.
HAIBAYO empowers communities by enriching Asia on Argyle’s cultural equity through art & business. HAIBAYO is an ecosystem of interconnected mutually supporting programs. By creating economic opportunity for local businesses, platforms for artists, and creating spaces with community capacity, HAIBAYO nurtures the energy for a broader & culture renaissance.
HAIBAYO shares space with legacy business Qideas Plant Shop, a family-owned, women-led business that has been in the corridor for over 20+ years.

Vision
HAIBAYO Cafe is the for-profit arm of our work, but it’s much more than a spot to grab Southeast Asian coffee or Asian teas. We see it as a "third space" for the community—a welcoming place where people can gather, linger, and connect.
Alongside serving drinks sourced from our partners at New Math Roasters, VietFive Coffee, and Volition Tea, the cafe will host performances, hands-on workshops, intergenerational storytelling sessions, and meaningful conversations. It’s a space designed to fuel both creativity and connection, where culture lives in everyday moments.

Space
HAIBAYO is a creative space curated by the non-profit organization HAIBAYO Cares, founded by Jennifer "Nuky" Pham and Hac Tran. Located in the heart of the historic "Asia on Argyle" district in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood.
HAIBAYO’s space will offer a cafe, teahouse, and non-alcoholic bar, as well as a curated retail incubation space showcasing the creative work and entrepreneurship of Asian American and BIPOC artists & makers.
